Samsung is considering PLS LCD displays for Galaxy S5 and Note 4?

According to the Korean media, Samsung is considering using PLS LCD displays on their next flagships like the Galaxy S5 and Note 4, in order to reduce production costs by almost 20%. Samsung already uses PLS LCDs for its tablets, for example the Galaxy Note 10.1, and the company is now considering adopting the technology for its phones also.
The LCD displays also have many advantages, such as more natural colors and lesser battery usage for such as browsing. With the Galaxy Note 3, Samsung’s AMOLED panels have reached a stage where you can get a display experience that matches that of the best LCD displays, while retaining OLED benefits such as true blacks; OLED screens have also been one of the major selling points of the Galaxy line of flagships, another factor that would make the move to LCD displays a bad decision for the company. However, Samsung recently said it is ready to produce Super AMOLED panels with 2k resolution, so this is a rumor that will likely be proven wrong when Samsung announces the Galaxy S5.
So wahat do you think tell us?
