Nokia is testing an Android Device the Normandy.

Nokia has always stayed away from Android, as the company has focused on Windows Phone operating systems. With the recent deal between Microsoft and Nokia, it was further sure that the companies will again focus on Windows Phone operating system.

The image seen above was first shown by evleaks in the month of November, which showed this device to be a Lumia like design device. The image of the phone was also believed to be an Asha phone from Nokia, as it lacked any hardware button and no LED flashlight of the camera was present. However, recent rumors have suggested that this device –codenamed ‘Normandy’– is an Android based device from Nokia. The report from The Verge suggests that alleged phone from Nokia is an Android based smartphone. This device will run on version of Android, which might not be linked with Google services. Which will be just like Amazon’s Kindle Fire.

It is not sure if this device will release soon or not, it can even be possible that this device might not even turn up to the table. However, if it does, we will have to see whether Nokia will bring up a new app market or will take help from any other application stores. Also, the Microsoft and Nokia deal is getting closer, Nokia

want to hurry if it really wishes to release an Android phone in the market.
