Rumours
about the alleged Galaxy S5 featuring Super AMOLED panel with a
resolution of 2K (2560x1440) pixels and a pixel density of 560ppi are
coming back to back these days. 2K means double the pixels that are of
Full HD. Another report
today reveals GFX benchmark listing for a device codenamed SM-G900S,
sporting a 2K (1440x2560 pixels) Display.
The
report hints that the device leaked in the benchmark could be the
Galaxy S5. The listing also reveals a Snapdragon 800 chipset
clocked at 2.4GHz alongside the Adreno 330 GPU, earlier rumours pointed out at
Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, or a 64-bit version of Samsung's own Exynos
chip. Besides, the listing doesn’t reveal any other specifications of
the Galaxy S4. Several reports
have been suggesting an early 2014 launch for the S5. In fact, it is
believed that Samsung will start mass producing the device in January,
for a slated February-March launch. An earlier report pointed that Galaxy S4 will come with a 4000 mAh battery and with Android 4.4.1 KitKat
Samsung is also working on two tablets featuring AMOLED displays,
and one of these tablets will come with a 2K Display is likely to be launched around the same time
as S5 launch. Samsung will launch the next
generation Galaxy Gear along with the Galaxy S5.
